In this world there are things people are interested in whether it be a hobby or an occupation and you ask, “Why the interest?” That same questions has crossed my mind many a times when it comes to agriculture and My Farmer. Why would you want to do something that’s back breaking, doesn’t pay enough, and smells?
We’ve been together for 21 years and married for 14 years. I’ve had the honor to see his interest peak, and his passion found. I’ve learned his dream is to become a full time farmer on thousands of acres, and he works hard each day to reach that goal. So every time I ask the question “why” my heart answers, “It’s his dream, his passion, it’s in his blood.”
He’s great at what he does. It comes natural, which tells me it comes from deep within, and it’s obvious everyday. Now we may not be living on thousands of acres, and he may still work full time to support the family, but he’s farming none-the-less. I’m so thankful he has found his passion, because it has enabled me to find mine.
My passion is sharing, planning, & organizing. I’ve been able to share through my blog about what I’m learning about agriculture. I’m also using social media to bridge the gap between farmer and consumer by pimping (marketing) our freezer meat sales, and blogging about what I learn about agriculture from a “city chic” perspective. Our freezer meat sales enables people to buy directly from a farmer, and create a win/win situation.
So we are able to put our passions together and work toward one goal, and for that I am thankful.
What is your passion and in your blood?

So excited to be partiking in YOUR passion! Can’t wait to see you at Bloggy Con!
