So God Made a Farmer

What a memorable game the Super Bowl was last night and I’m so glad I watched it.  Sports in general doesn’t interest me in the least, but what caught my attention and peeked my interest last night was the coaches of the two teams were brothers.  After watching interviews of the two of them I chose to vote for the Ravens.

Usually I don’t know who’s playing or even care who wins, but rather enjoy watching the commercials and the half time show.  After the black out and before I doze off my heart was warmed by the Chrysler Dodge Ram Commercial ~ So God Made a Farmer about Farmers that was narrated by Paul Harvey.  I thank Chrysler for that commercial because it brought to light all the hard work that a farmer does, and the type of heart it takes to love that type of work.

I’m thankful too that I get to witness first hand the hard work and dedication it takes to be the foundation of our food supply.  I can also see first hand the heart of a farmer and pride of raising food for not only our family but others as well.  That’s what Paul stated so perfectly when he spoke of “sharing” in the commercial.  A farmers hard work is not only for his family, but to support others as well.

Thanks again Chrysler for that touching commercial that brought to light a Farmer and the hard work and dedication that it entails to feed us all.  Also thank you to the late Paul Harvey for the beautiful reading that you obviously did so many years ago.  You are missed.

What was your favorite part of the broadcast?

Love, lie that commercial! Brought tears to my eyes, thinking about how hard my brother works and the pride he has in his farm…and best of all, he is passing this work ethic and pride down to his three boys!

  2. That was my one of my 2 favorite commercials from the Super Bowl. Thank you for this post and, more importantly, THANK YOU to your family for being farmers. You are appreciated.
