Time to Pimp the Pigs

We have hogs again!  Actually that’s bittersweet for me.  I love the business for our farm, but boy do they stink!  It’s a smell that gets into the pours of my Farmers hands, so you can smell it at mealtime and yes even intimate time.  Ugh!

All I can say though is farming is in his blood and raising cattle and hogs as well as growing field corn and soy beans is what makes him happy.  So with that said no matter what the stench I’m committed to support him.  Unfortunately there’s no air freshener or cleansing soap to cut through the smell of pig poop.  Believe me I’ve tried them all!

So like I said we have pigs and now it’s time to pimp (aka market) them.  If you or anyone you know is in the Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, Indianapolis, Louisville, or Lexington areas please feel free to email me at citychiconafarm@gmail.com.  Butchering is scheduled for Sept. and orders are taken on a first come first serve basis.

We’ re looking forward to having pork chops, ham steaks, sausage links, bacon, cured ham roasts, pork ribs, etc.  Yummo!

What is your favorite cut of pork?
