I remember when I was younger I was in Brownies & then became a Girl Scout and we sold the infamous Girl Scout Cookies. That was fun and a great way to learn communication skills, help with self esteem, and work with money.
Now my oldest son has been in Scouts for years and now he’s a 2nd year WEBELO & soon to be Boy Scout. He loves the time with is friends at the meetings learning new things, field trips to see Monster Jam, and his most favorite part of all is Scout camp. Scouts also has a product to sell to help support the great scouting program and there are two things about the program that have impressed me:
- 70% of the sales goes to the Scouts
- You can order popcorn to be sent to the Troops
What a concept! Giving back to the Troops that fight for our freedom and supporting a program for boys. How cool is that?
