The other day an event sparked a memory, but this such event isn’t a happy one. Andy Rooney past and his loss will be missed by all. Even as a child I enjoyed listening to his commentary on 60 minutes. It was that very commentary that I enjoyed until he left 60 minutes not to many weeks ago. His passing has sparked many memories.
Since I can remember my Grandfather would visit every Sunday at 4 to spend time with us. We would head out to eat and return home to watch TV & eat ice cream. We usually caught the end of 60 minutes just in time to listen to Andy Rooney before catching our family show Night Rider or Murder She Wrote.
I would like to thank Andy for being a part of our family time. Even as a child I enjoyed his perception and opinion of what was going on around him. I watched his last appearance on 60 minutes that included an appreciation for the opportunities in his life and a request to leave him alone if we saw him out-and-about. What a hoot!
Rest in Peace Andy and thanks for sharing your opinion with the world. I truly enjoyed it along with those bushy eyebrows.
