Organize when you clean!

I find myself actually enjoying spring cleaning, because I take the extra time to organize and declutter. Basic cleaning is a drag, but when you spring clean you give the room a fresh start. My mud/laundry room was the first room on my list, because it’s the dumping ground where everything is dropped when we come home and it’s the staging area for things heading out too.

One of my main organizing tools are hooks. Hooks for the kids coats, backpacks, and hats. The challenge is the places I need hooks are usually challenging. The 3M Command removable adhesive hooks are amazing and I’ve used them throughout the house. They stick to almost anything, and they can hold an amazing amount of weight, including heavy backpacks.  Plus to top it off there’s no holes in my walls!!

Another major organizing tool are baskets.  Since we live on a farm we don’t wear our shoes in the house therefore baskets are the perfect solution.  They keep the shoes contained so they’re not in piles or all over the floor.  There are also a baskets for gloves, change found in the laundry, pens & notepad for phone messages, and not to mention the laundry.
