Our sons do it all the time here at home when they play cowboys that it’s so cute to watch and not to mention listen to them play. They also totally enjoy watching the old time cowboy movies, especially the ones with John Wayne. To top it all of our oldest son’s room a Cowboy theme, with a huge picture of John Wayne over his bed.
Yep the boys love cowboy stuff here on the farm, because farming and cowboys are a perfect fit. Due to their interest they were all up for dressing up like a cowboy and getting our family picture done at on of the Old Time Photo studios in Branson, Missouri on our last trip. That’s where the fun began!
There wasn’t to much extra cowboy attire that they had to add since two out of the three were already wearing cowboy boots, jeans, leather belts with metal buckles, and their flannel shirts. They did end up exchanging their flannel shirts with white button ups, a vest, and not to mention the hat. The boys were set and ready!
Hubby had a similar look like the boys, but they added a long leather type coat to his look, and a cool cowboy hat.
Yep I even joined in as well, but instead of being a cowgirl, which I would have rather done, I was dressed in a dress with net stockings, a feather in my hair, a purple boa, and some heals. Granted I should have been comfortable since I’m a “city chic” in a dress, but I’m really not a dress person. Go figure.
The photographer did a great job working with us, setting up different poses, and creating photographs that would last a lifetime. We did all the poses which included a family one, one of the boys, one of hubby and the boys, one of me and the boys, one of hubby and I, and we were each photographed individually. It was an enjoyable time and we have pictures to add to the walls of our farm house.
May I suggest anytime you go on vacation and see an Old Time Photo studio, please stop by and get your pictures done. It’s so much fun!!
